The Linkage, Infrastructure, Equipment and Facilities (LIEF) scheme of the National Competitive Grants Program provides funding for research infrastructure, equipment and facilities that will be used to support high-quality research projects, which encourage and develop long term strategic research alliances. The scheme supports large scale cooperative initiatives, which allow expensive infrastructure, equipment and facilities to be shared thereby providing access to resources for research projects for the benefit of all Australians.
